Estate INPSieme in Malta: how the INPS programme works

Estate INPSieme is the INPS programme of study holidays abroad for high-school students. It is the INPS programme actually featured on our website: it should not be confused with the Italian Teachers Bonus (Carta del Docente), which covers teacher training instead. This guide explains how Estate INPSieme works in Malta, using only what we coordinate directly on the island.

Estate INPSieme is a programme run by INPS through an annual public call. Requirements, timings, amounts and ranking lists are defined solely by INPS in the relevant call: always check the official text published on the INPS portal.

1. What Estate INPSieme is

Estate INPSieme Estero is the programme through which INPS funds, fully or partly, summer study holidays abroad. Families do not buy a package from INPS: they apply to a public call, and the bursary awarded covers the cost of the stay with an accredited provider.

In Malta the programme takes the form of a study stay with an English course, international activities, dedicated Team Leaders and 24/7 Italian-speaking support directly on the island.

2. Who can apply

The programme is for high-school students, roughly aged 12 to 17, children of members of INPS Gestione Unitaria or qualifying retirees.

The exact requirements of each edition are set by the INPS call: that document is the reference.

3. How the INPS call works

INPS publishes an annual call for study holidays abroad. Families apply on the My INPS portal; ranking lists determine the bursary winners, which fully or partly cover the cost. Rankings are published by INPS on the My INPS portal based on the ISEE indicator.

  • Application submitted on the My INPS portal.
  • Ranking lists published by INPS based on the ISEE.
  • Participation confirmed after the outcome, with no upfront commitment.

4. What the stay in Malta includes

Estate INPSieme programmes in Malta are designed according to the Estate INPSieme Estero call requirements and include an English course, international activities and Italian-speaking support directly on the island.

  • Flight and transfer included.
  • 1 Team Leader per 15 students.
  • 24/7 Italian-speaking support on the ground.
  • Accommodation in a 4★ hotel or residence in Sliema.

Dates refer to the typical Estate INPSieme calendar and are confirmed when the call is published.

5. Free pre-registration

Pre-registration is the first step to take part in Estate INPSieme with us: it is free, non-binding and gives priority on available spots. The place is held for you and, once INPS publishes the rankings, the family freely decides whether to confirm. No upfront payment is required.

After the form is submitted we call the family back with all the details and provide support with documents, departures and the INPS call up to the publication of the rankings.
